Laurent (Cyrille Thouvenin) es un estudiante de 23 años que vive en la ciudad francesa de Lille. Allí conoce a Cédric (Stéphan Guérin-Tillié), un joven investigador del INRA. Ambos acaban enamorándose el uno del otro, aunque no afrontan su relación de la misma manera. Mientras Cédric, algo más maduro, asume su homosexualidad sin problemas, Laurent seguirá manteniendo una doble vida con su familia, a la que alienta con una supuesta relación amorosa con su mejor amiga, Carole (Caroline Veyt).
